After months of waiting, the PIA Tourismwill finally be up and running. The main objective of the Integrated Tourism Facilitation Program (PIA) is to enhance what already exists, without resorting to further construction. Therefore, the undisputed protagonists of this unique opportunity will be properties of historical and artistic interest such as farmhouses, villas, castles, palaces, and anything else that can be used to create hotel and non-hotel accommodation facilities, reevaluating existing local real estate while respecting the beauty and history of these unique and characteristic features of the territory. One of the expected outcomes of these investments is undoubtedly the deseasonalization of tourism.
The programs are aimed at various types of investors and companies of all sizes, with total eligible expenses and costs ranging from €5 million to €40 million. The support takes the form of a direct non-repayable grant covering at least 50% of the entire investment, including the purchase.
