There is a place, in the lower Salento, where the red earth meets the silver of centuries-old olive trees and the sea arrives like a whispered promise just three minutes away: a complex that silently watches over eight thousand square metres of land, where time seems to have stood still among the twisted trunks and the light filtering obliquely through the foliage.
A little further on, towards Pescoluse, the waters the world calls the “Maldives of Salento” reveal a turquoise that seems not to belong to this latitude, while ten kilometres away, in Santa Maria di Leuca, the Adriatic and Ionian Seas meet in an embrace that few places in the world can tell of.
Here stand six independent residences, comprising approximately 365 square metres of trulli and liame that carry within their stone the memory of an ancient architecture that is still alive, designed to welcome those seeking the authenticity of the truest Puglia.
But there is more: these residences can be transformed, according to the wishes of whoever chooses them, into individual homes to be sold one by one to those dreaming of their very own corner of Salento, or brought together to create a single, grand private residence, a secluded buen retiro hidden among the olive trees, just a stone’s throw from the most photographed sea in Salento.
And while elsewhere, in Salve, the new General Town Plan has now closed the door to new construction, this complex remains one of the last examples of a dream that can still be realised: an investment whose rarity is destined to increase over time.
